FUNletter: 8 Fun Things!
Funletter? Yes, because I'm packing it with things I find fun, and hope you will too. As an autistic, what I find fun is drastically different. AND THAT'S OK. I'm here to reclaim fun.
1. I published a new essay about autistic joy: “Inviting joy into our autistic lives”
2. I continued painting on my large canvas
It started as a group project, where my friends and I painted on the canvas together:
3. I wrote an essay for my fellow artists who might be feeling discouraged: For the discouraged artist
4. I definitely have a theme of encouragement going … for my latest book is about that too: “For the Autistic Soul Going through Tough Times”
5. I continued meeting with my therapy clients
I’m really loving diving deep into art with clients. In our 90 minute sessions, we use art to process, explore, and build lives that feel good as autistics. If you’re looking for a therapist and want someone who just “gets it” as an autistic, I’d love to work with you. You can sign up for a 30 minute consultation here.
6. I wrote more about how we take care of ourselves AND the environment:
7. I did a photo shoot with my art
That makes it sound so official. In reality, my husband sat in my kitchen and held up art for me. Haha.

I’m kind of loving your painting. I don’t generally know enough to appreciate abstract art but yours feels so organic it warms the cockles of my heart.
Hello Egon, from Blanche (a white poodle).
